The annual Fanwood Halloween Parade and Costume Contest was celebrated October 31 on the front lawn of the Fanwood Memorial Library at North Avenue and Forest Road in Fanwood.

The event, staged by the town’s Recreation Commission, started with an interactive play at the Fanwood Library. Then, the kids and parents marched from the Library to LaGrande Park, escorted by police, fire and rescue squad vehicles with lights flashing. The parade was followed by a Costume Contest for children of all ages, and warm coffee and donuts for parents.

Thanks again to the Fanwood Recreation Commission for planning the event and to Commissioner Bruce Zakarin for being the event leader.
