The Borough of Fanwood is dedicated to the fight against climate change. Having already achieved Bronze Status in the Sustainable Jersey Program, Mayor Colleen Mahr recently pledged to join the national “Climate Mayors Initiative”, which will help the Borough to target its efforts to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and work towards environmental equity.
Fanwood needs passionate residents with great ideas to join the Mayors Climate Initiative Green Team . Members will work on achieving the set goals of each program . Each goal met is a significant contribution to our local and global health. You do not have to be an environmental specialist, just an interest in working toward shared goals and a willingness to attend regularly scheduled meetings.
