Donation days begin soon for the 30th consecutive Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library Fall Book Sale. The all-volunteer group starts accepting books, DVDs, and CDs on September 9, and the sale begins September 15. Vinyl records will not be accepted this year. As always, books are sorted by subject for easy browsing: history, romance, classics, art, cookbooks, politics, crafts, science, parenting, children, and general fiction.

Last year’s sale raised nearly $10,000, which keeps the library humming with programs, materials, and equipment that enrich and educate people of all ages. The Friends also supports building improvements. To volunteer, contact friends@fanwoodlibrary.org.

The Friends book sale could not succeed without the quality and quantity of materials donated by residents. The Friends welcomes lightly used hardcovers and paperbacks, DVDs and CDs. All donations, sorting, and selling will occur at Forest Road Park, 153 Forest Road, in the red, brick building. For more information and a full schedule of donation and sale dates, please visit  fanwoodlibrary.org/get-involved/friends.
