Bureau of Fire Prevention

Fanwood Fire Official is in charge of ensuring that property owners comply with fire codes, investigates fire-related accidents and crimes, directs fire prevention efforts and engages in fire prevention and awareness.

The mission of the Fire Official is to help prevent the occurrence of fire, protect lives and to preserve property through:

When residents are selling their home, an inspection by the fire official is required to ensure that all smoke detectors, CO2 detectors and the fire extinguisher are in place prior to sale. Simply to go Borough Hall to pay for the inspection. At that point you will schedule the inspection at your convenience. Be sure to review all requirements as listed below before scheduling an inspection.
